BLS PRovider (Basic Life Support)

This course teaches students how to perform high-quality CPR for adults, children and infants.  It trains students to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. 

You will learn: 

• High-quality CPR for adults, children and infants
• The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
• The importance of early use of an AED
• Effective ventilations using a barrier device 
• The importance of teams in multi-rescue resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants.  

A student may receive their BLS Provider certification through either a traditional all in-person classroom course or a blended course (part online and part in-person).  

Includes a two-year certification.   A book is required.
